Borosilicato is a type of glass known to have a very low coefficient of thermal expansion, which makes it more resistant to thermal shock than any other type of glass commonly used. This type of glass is subject to less thermal stress and can be exposed to temperature differences without breakage.
Originally used in laboratories due to its great resistance to high temperatures and non-toxicity. A curious fact about this type of glass is that it is even used to contain highly toxic elements.
This material has gradually started to be used in kitchens and especially in cafeterias due to its high resistance to heat and especially to thermal shock.
Why are our products made of borosilicate?
